Gussie award Candela Just before the Mets trade show, the Gussie Awards were presented. This year, Candela received the award for the best-produced electric boat, larger than 8 metres.The Gussie awards are named after Gustave Trouvé, who figured out in 1874 that the best way to tinker with his electric motor was to develop a detachable part. And thus the outboard motor was born.

At Candela in Sweden, they were delighted to welcome the Swedish and Dutch royal couple on board the Candela C-8 for a spectacular trip across Swedish waters.
